Different injuries respond to different treatments. Some injuries will require surgery immediately whereas some injuries may require surgery after all other treatments have been tried. If this is the case, physiotherapy can be very effective before and after treatment.

ULNAR NERVE DECOMPRESSION

INTRODUCTION
ï‚· Elbow region is opened to visualise the passage of ulnar nerve through a surgical procedure.

CAUSE
ï‚· Accident and trauma
ï‚· Arthritis
ï‚· Broken bones

ï‚· Diabetes
ï‚· Elbow dislocation
ï‚· Surgical complications


SYMPTOMS
ï‚· Weakness or tenderness in hand
ï‚· Tingling in the palm and last two fingers of hand.

ï‚· Can’t able to tolerate cold .
ï‚· Touch on the elbow joint will be painful..


POST OPERATIVE PHYSIOTHERAPY
ï‚· Strengthening exercises
ï‚· Elbow Range of motion exercises.
ï‚· Scar tissue mobilization.
ï‚· Splinting.
